Mahindra Logistics Unveils Cutting-Edge Warehousing Facility in Phaltan, Maharashtra

Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL) proudly announces the launch of its advanced warehousing facility in Phaltan, near Pune. Encompassing an expansive 6.5 lakh sqft area, this facility will be developed in two phases, with the first phase of 3.5 lakh sqft set to be operational by the end of 2024.

Situated over 25 acres in Phaltan, the facility will play a crucial role in Mahindra Logistics’ nationwide network of multi-client facilities. The strategic location in proximity to key customers in the auto OEM and components sectors positions Phaltan as an ideal hub for managing inbound logistics to manufacturing and distribution solutions for diverse clients in the automotive and manufacturing sectors.

Rampraveen Swaminathan, MD & Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Logistics Ltd, emphasized the significance of this expansion, stating, “To enhance our capabilities and meet the rising demand, we are expanding our multi-client warehousing network across India. Our latest facility in Phaltan is strategically located to augment the overall business ecosystem for our valued clientele in the region.”

The facility, part of Mahindra Logistics’ commitment to sustainability, will adhere to green warehousing standards and incorporate measures such as decarbonization and the use of renewable power. It is expected to create employment opportunities for over 500 individuals in the region. The company and its partners are set to invest Rs 170 crore in capital across multiple phases for the development of the new facility and related infrastructure.

Swaminathan further stated, “The facility will be integrated with our national network of multi-client facilities, express, and full truckload operations providing enhanced reach and service levels to our customers. It embodies our commitment to delivering world-class, technology-driven solutions and aligns with our vision to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.”
