GiMS Startup Clinic for Clinical Mentoring: 2nd Tuesday of Eveymonth Register Now!

The government is spearheading an initiative to encourage public hospitals to establish incubation centers, fostering collaboration between startups, entrepreneurs, and medical professionals to integrate technology with public health services.

Under this initiative, the government is actively involving students from prestigious institutions like IITs, providing them with a platform to engage with hospitals. Currently, only AIIMS Delhi has initiated such a platform, with another set to launch at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Greater Noida.

GIMS boasts a dedicated Center for Medical Innovation (CMI), which actively supports the growth of medical technology startups across various stages of development. This endeavor is supported by the government of Uttar Pradesh.

 

“Government hospitals house a vast array of patient data. Hence, we are facilitating a platform where startup entrepreneurs can leverage this database for research, gain deeper insights into health issues, and develop devices or applications with precision. The objective of such a center for medical innovation is to bridge the gap and align technology with public health,” stated Dr. Rahul Singh, in-charge of the CMI.

The initiative aims to harness the potential of emerging technologies to address public health challenges effectively. Through collaboration and innovation, these incubation centers aspire to revolutionize healthcare delivery, enhancing accessibility, affordability, and efficacy.

As part of this initiative, GIMS has introduced the GIMS Startup Clinic, the first of its kind clinic for startups in a public hospital. Operating every 2nd Tuesday of the month, this groundbreaking initiative opens its doors to startups nationwide, offering a comprehensive suite of services tailored to propel healthcare and medtech ventures to success.
